GENERAL CHARACTERISTIC OF SCHOOL EDUCATION IN SWEDEN

Abstract

The article deals with general characteristics of the system of school education in the kingdom of Sweden, gives a short description of the process of historical development of the system of compulsory education and the main factors determining the effectiveness of Swedish schools, proves possible reasons to use the experience of the countries, most successful in the sphere of compulsory education, in the reformation and development of school education in Russia; concludes the potential application of the Swedish experience to improve the instruction process and education systems of the Russian Federation.
