AMATEUR ARTS FESTIVALS OF CHKALOV REGION (1946—1950)

Abstract

This article describes the holding of amateur arts festivals in Chkalov (Orenburg) region in the first postwar five-year period. For this purpose, we study the festivals at various levels, from agricultural to regional and All-Union ones. The author concludes that, despite the hardships of the postwar period, and a number of problems, amateur shows became truly widespread celebrations, in which a large number of teams took part.
