SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MYCOGENIC DESTRUCTION PROCESS IN THE FORESTS OF SOUTHERN CISURALS
Abstract
The article presents the results of the study of wood-destroying fungi activity variation depending on the kind of the substrate, thermal environment and humidity conditions. It is noted that the rate of wood decomposition of birch, aspen and linden is reduced to the South. An assumption is made that humidity and temperature characteristics in a rotting tree are hardly varying, as they are less depended on environmental conditions than healthy wood; the bio brackets not only keep humidity and temperature in certain periods of the day, but also let them increase, which can be explained by the enzyme activity of the fungus in certain conditions.Key words
Wood destruction, wood-destroying fungi, speed of wood destruction, Southern Cisurals.
