PREDICTION OF POST-FIRE CONDITION OF PINE TREES IN LOW-DENSITY STANDS IN THE STEPPE FOREST VEGETATION ZONE OF THE ORENBURG REGION
Abstract
The paper deals with the state of post-fire pine trees in low-density stands in the steppe forest vegetation zone of the Orenburg region. The author proposes the predictive models of post-fire survival of individuals in pine stands based on the classification of the discriminant functions. The following indicators were used: the tree height, the tree diameter, the height to the crown, the scorch mark height.Key words
Predictive models of post-fire survival, Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris L.), discriminatory analysis.
