PROTECTED STEPPE BEETLES (COLEOPTERA) OF SOUTHERN URALS
Abstract
The paper reviews the current and recommended protection status of 20 protected species of Coleoptera, inhabiting the steppes of the Southern Urals. It gives brief information on the current status of the species in the region. The most vulnerable species are (in descending order): Callisthenes reticulatus, Onitis humerosus, Carabus exaratus, Carabus menetriesi, Stephanocleonus tetragrammus, Lethrus longimanus.
