V. V. KRAEVSKY’S THEORY OF GENERAL SECONDARY EDUCATION (TO MARK THE 90th ANNIVERSARY)

Abstract

The article discusses the formation of theoretical bases of general secondary education during late XX — early XXI centuries by V. V. Kraevsky. Based on the analysis of the theoretical heritage of the teacher-scientist the author isolates and characterizes the stages of the genesis of the approaches to the interpretation of the content of general secondary education. The study proves that the most significant scientific contribution made by V. V. Kraevsky was the expansion and the specification of the concept of “scientific education”, the inclusion of new components, ideas and provisions. The article presents the main results of his productive scientific work.
