THE POST-WAR FAMINE OF 1946—1947 IN MODERN RUSSIAN HISTORIOGRAPHY
Abstract
The article analyzes the main approaches to the study of the problem of hunger of 1946—1947 in modern Russian historical science. The basic debates among the researchers on the famine of 1946—1947 were revealed and analyzed in the article. The Russian historical science has developed two points of view on the causes of hunger — both objective and subjective. The paper shows the reasons, the scale and the consequences of the 1946—1947 tragedy.
