REVIEW OF THE MONOGRAPH “TATARSTAN DURING THE CRUELTIES OF WAR (1941—1945)” BY A. SH. KABIROVA
Abstract
The article gives scientific analysis of the monograph of A. Sh. Kabirova, Doctor of Historical Sciences, a leading scientific worker of the S. Mardzhani Institute of the History of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, published in Kazan in 2015. It is shown that the author using a scope of new sources, including declassified archival documents, contemporary theoretical and methodological positions, reveals the socio-economic, political, cultural and ideological processes in the Tatar ASSR during the Great Patriotic War. The realities of everyday life, the unity of the front and the rear are investigated as a complex scientific problem. Their combined analysis allowed the author for the first time in the regional historiography to reconstruct the objective and true to life picture of life in the republic during the Great Patriotic War.
