NEPLYUEV ORENBURG MILITARY SCHOOL (1825—1832)

Abstract

Based on the documents of the State Archive of the Orenburg region the article highlights the genesis of the oldest secondary school in Orenburg — Neplyuev Military School (later Neplyuev Cadet Corps), which played an important role in the life of the region until 1918. The article is devoted to the history of the academy in the first decade of its life. By the end of this term the academy had been divided into the European and Asian departments with different educational programs. The article demonstrates the importance of Orenburg governors for the development of this educational institution, provides the information about the teachers working there, describes the activities of the first school principals.
