THE STAFF OF THE SOUTH URAL RAILWAY DURING GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR

Abstract

Based on the archival and published materials the article attempts to give a brief description of the staff of the South Ural Railway during Great Patriotic War. It presents the basic sources of personnel replacement on the rail road: the role of women, adolescent graduates of workschools, disabled and senior citizens, mobilized citizens. It is proved that the implementation of these objectives has been fraught with great difficulties in the process of evacuation, shortage in professional manpower, generally in labor resources. It renders the results of archival statistics for the categories of rail road workers.
