OFFICIALS OF IZHEVSK FACTORIES IN THE 19th CENTURY: QUANTITY AND COMPOSITION

Abstract

The author analyzes the management and staff of the Izhevsk arms and ironworks in Vyatka province. The focus is made on the following categories of employees: chief officers, civilian officials and lower employees. The article examines the changes in the number of employees in the 19 century, their departmental affiliation, social origin, ethnic and confessional structure, financial situation and the level of education.
