THE SHAPE OF THE REVOLUTIONARY SARATOV (1918): TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MONUMENTAL PROPAGANDA PLAN
Abstract
The article considers the socio-cultural development of a provincial city in the first post-revolutionary year. Special attention is paid to solemn holding of the first anniversary of the October Revolution, erecting of monuments and renaming of streets (within the plan of monumental propaganda). The author shows the specifics of the social structure of the city of Saratov and analyzes the interest of the population in the conducted transformations.
