DAILY-LIFE OF A PEASANT WOMAN IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE XIX CENTURY AS A SCIENTIFIC (HISTORIOGRAPHICAL) PROBLEM

Abstract

This article defines the modern study scope of peasant women’s everyday life in the post-reform period. The origin and the development of the national academics’ interest to the problem is covered. The courses of the ambiguous historiography of the problem are revealed, the study stages of a number of aspects are denoted, their peculiarities and dependence on the study methodology are indicated. The topics most frequently studied by researchers within different stages are listed. The use of the gender approach is analyzed. The study of peasant life as an important direction of the modern history of everyday life is covered. The influence of the contiguous disciplines to the matter is specified, a number of works are analyzed from the point of view of full covering and the importance of the problem. The conclusion of the contemplation with the consideration of regional peculiarities and specification of the subject under study is made.
