WOMAN OF CLERICAL ORDER IN THE RUSSIAN SOCIETY OF LATE 19TH CENTURY: NATIONAL HISTORIOGRAPHY OF THE PROBLEM

Abstract

The article dwells on the stages of studying the daily life of a woman of clerical order in late 19th century by the national historical science. The author sorts out the crucial issues that were in the focus of attention of the researchers examining this problem and evaluates every research guideline, explains the causes of the study suspense in the Soviet historical studies. Based on the analysis of the works of the modern national scientists the author notes the formation of new historical views of the place of a woman of clerical order in the society of the Synodical period and accentuates the necessity of the further study of the problem.
