NEW RECORDS OF RARE AND ENDANGERED PLANT SPECIES IN THE SOUTH OF THE TYUMEN REGION
Abstract
During 2014—2016 the territory of southern Tyumen region witnessed a few expeditions which revealed the new locations of 70 rare and endangered species of plants to be listed in the new edition of the Red Book of the Tyumen region, including 8 species listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation: Cypripedium macranthon, Epipogium aphyllum, Liparis loeselii, Neottianthe cucullata, Orchis militaris, Stipa dasyphylla, S. pennata and S. zalesskii. The new species of protected plants were found in various natural complexes: southern taiga forests, swamps, saline meadows, steppe slopes, xero-mesophilic birch woods and dry pine forests, water reservoirs.
