THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF PROFESSIONALLY ORIENTED FOREIGN LANGUAGE EDUCATION IN THE NON-LINGUISTIC HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION

Abstract

The article defines the notion of “professionally oriented education”, reveals the goals, objectives, principles of the professionally oriented foreign language education in the non-linguistic higher education institution, analyzes the content of foreign language training, presents different points of view on the content component of linguistic education formation from the perspective of the problem-thematic approach. The principles of the professionally oriented foreign language education in the non-linguistic higher education institution (the principles of professional orientation, problem-thematic choice, intercultural interaction) are proved. It also discloses the possibilities of the educational discipline “Foreign language” in the balance harmonization of technological and humanitarian components of the higher professional education content in the organization of the students’ textual activity, in the students’ professional orientation formation.
