ADAPTATION POSSIBILITIES OF GENUS Zinnia L. TO THE CLIMATIC CONDITIONS OF A FOOTHILL ZONE OF THE CRIMEA
Abstract
The article studies the anatomic-morphological and physiological characteristics of the genus Zinnia L. in the climatic conditions of a foothill zone of the Crimea. It evaluates the range of adaptive capacity of Z. violacea Cav. and its varieties in terms of water scarcity. The author has proved that the stems and leaves of the studied species and varieties of genus Zinnia L. have xerophytes features.
