THE CONTRIBUTION OF ORENBURG MERCHANT A. A. BELOV TO THE CREATION OF URBAN PUBLIC LEISURE SPACE OF THE URAL RIVER EMBANKMENT

Abstract

The article is devoted to the topical issue of organizing a recreational and entertainment zone on the Ural river in Orenburg in the XIX century. The modern reconstruction of the embankment requires the understanding of the historical material on the formation of the urban architectural ensemble and the cultural and entertainment environment, in which the Orenburg merchant class played a huge role in the XIX century. On the basis of archival material the author managed to reproduce the sequence of development and principles of improvement of the embankment. The contribution of the main tenant of the Central part of the embankment, the merchant of the 1st Guild A. A. Belov, to the formation of the entertainment environment is considered. The principles of improvement of the city Park landscape and separate directions of entertainment culture of Orenburg of the end of the XIX century are analyzed in detail.
