HEURISTIC CONVERSATION IN THE STRUCTURE OF METHODOLOGICAL TRAINING OF FUTURE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE TEACHERS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the interpretation of practical potential of ‘‘heuristic conversation’’ as a method of developmental learning in the training practice of the future Russian language teachers. The paper considers the essence of heuristic conversation as a teaching method; defines its components; reveals the importance of this method in the process of training based on the prominent scholars of Russian pedagogy and methodology of teaching Russian. Heuristic conversation is a system of logically related issues. The questions are connected with the answers to the previous ones. The initiator of the problem statement can be both the teacher and the student, as well as both these participants of the training activities. According to the author, heuristic conversation has a number of advantages in comparison with other cognitive methods of teaching Russian. The use of heuristic conversation promotes the development of thinking, the formation of cognitive independence and the acquisition of experience in problematic tasks solving. Based on the survey among the 3rd year students of philology, the author reveals future Russian language teachers’ ideas about the method of “heuristic conversation on a linguistic subject” and concludes that only 40% of respondents have a correct idea of this method despite the fact that all students consider it necessary to apply this method at the lessons of Russian.
