FORMATION OF THE SPORTS MOVEMENT IN THE PENZA VILLAGE IN THE BEGINNING OF THE 1950s (ON THE EXAMPLE OF VOLUNTEER SPORTS SOCIETY “KOLKHOZNIK”)
Abstract
The article considers the history of development of physical culture and sport among country people of the Penza region in the early fifties through activity of volunteer sports society “Kolkhoznik”. It gives a short historiographic review. It characterizes the actions of local Soviet party and public organizations to create and organize associations of physical culture, strengthening financial and material-technical resources of sports society. Low level of agitation and propaganda work of society in the village is emphasized.
