PROMOTION OF THE TRANSFORMATION OF WOMEN’S SOCIAL ROLES THROUGH PERIODICALS IN THE INDUSTRIAL REAR CITY DURING THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR
Abstract
This article analyzes some aspects of the formation of a model of behavior of women workers in an industrial city during the Great Patriotic War with the help of periodicals. The article presents the classification of publications in the periodical press, which contributed to the change of the traditional social role of women and aimed at early development of the social role of workers. The paper reveals the influence of the periodical press on the process of breaking gender stereotypes and imposing a certain model of behavior on women workers in the rear industrial city. The social role of the worker was replicated in the periodical press as the most acceptable in the war period in the conditions of industrial cities.
