Abstract
The review considers the sixth issue of the anthology “Classics of Samara Local Lore”, containing a diary and memoirs of the Samara governor A. D. Sverbeev. The features of the historical sources introduced into the scientific circulation are analyzed, their importance is shown both for the history of the Samara region and for the history of everyday life of the provincial region, the history of the governor’s power of late imperial Russia. It is shown that the history of the Western Orenburg region is partially reconstructed in these sources. It is concluded that the reviewed publication is a valuable treasure not only for Samara but also for Russian local history.Key words
