Abstract

The article presents the results of theoretical understanding of the concepts of literacy and educational and professional discourse of a higher school student and generalization of practical experience as the basis for modeling the discipline “Speech practices”. Mastering the techniques of working with educational and scientific texts is shown as a necessary condition for the development of students’ metasubject competence of literacy, early immersion into professional activity. Cognitive-semantic, social and pragmalinguistic aspects of educational and professional discourse determine the specifics of its speech genres, communicative strategies and tactics in educational situations. The model of discipline program differentiates and connects the content plan, expression plan, and types of speech practices and coordinates them with literacy competencies, professionally marked text formats, and communication strategies of discourse. Operational, cultural and critical skills of discourse evaluate the success of the program development.
