Abstract
As a result of a critical study of herbarium materials on the family Lamiaceae, literary sources and field observations for the flora the Lower Khopyor and the Lower Volga region as a whole, the following species and hybrids are first indicated: Ziziphora rotundifolia (Pers.) Melnikov, Ajuga × hybrida Kern., Lycopus × intermedius Hausskn., Prunella × spuria Stapf, Salvia × cernua Czern. ex Des.-Shost., Stachys × ambigua Sm., as well as 2 alien species: Perilla frutescens var. crispa (Thunb.) H. Deane и Salvia slarea L. A number of critical taxa are accompanied by special comments. In addition, information is given on the distribution in the region of some of the most rare species of Lamiaceae, such as Galeopsis ladanum L., G. tetrahit L., Leonurus cardiaca L., L. quinquelobatus Gilib., Marrubium praecox Janka, M. vulgare L., Mentha micrantha (Fisch. ex Benth.) Heinr. Braun, Nepeta parviflora M. Bieb., N. ucranica L., Phlomis pungens Willd., Salvia verticillata L., Scutellaria dubia Taliev et Schir., known from a small number of localites.
