COMPETITION AS A HUMANITARIAN EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY FOR TRAINING A MUSIC TEACHER IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract

The article attempts to justify the use of competitive technology as a humanitarian educational technology for training the future music teacher for professional activities. We give a brief overview of modern pedagogical literature on various approaches to determining the essence of the concept of “humanitarian technology”. The competition is considered a humanitarian technology of professional education of a future teacher in the context of the updating of the legal framework for the educational system and the current social order. The article emphasizes the specifics of vocational education in a pedagogical university, which consists in the orientation of educational work to form the students’ competence in the implementation of the educational process in future pedagogical activities. The article presents the directions of competitions, methods, forms and means (resources) of competition technology in higher education institutions. As target guidelines, we formulated the possibilities of competitive technology in the formation of students’ professional competencies in the field of training 44.03.01 Pedagogical Education, profile Musical Education. We describe the stages of organizing competitive activities from the position of organizers and pedagogical support of students by teachers-consultants. On the basis of empirical materials we reveal the organisation and pedagogical support of the competitive activity of students of the Faculty of Arts of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Omsk State Pedagogical University”.
