ACTORS OF THE FORMATION OF NOVOSIBIRSK STATE UNIVERSITY IN 1959—1962: THE EXPERIENCE OF PROSOPOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS

Abstract

This article gives a reconstruction of the collective biography of the organizers of the basic structure of Novosibirsk State University (NSU), which opened in 1959 and formed its image by 1962. Based on the personal files of this group, stored in the archive of the NSU, a problem-oriented database was formed. The purpose of the article is to study the factors and conditions of social and professional mobility of scientists. The formation of the NSU institutional framework was the first experience of implementing the research university model. The reconstruction of generational similarities and differences within the new local research and education corporation is made. It is concluded that the leading teaching staff of the university was formed based on a unique combination of three generations of scientists, each of which effectively realized their creative potential.
