Abstract
The article reviews a two-volume monograph by Samara historians (chief editor P. S. Kabytov) “History of the Samara Volga region from ancient times to the present day”, published in Samara in 2020. The authors, relying on a wide range of historical sources, recreated in detail the picture of settlement, economic, social and cultural development of the Samara region from the fourteenth century to the revolutionary year of 1917, the theme of the formation of the multinational people of the Samara Volga region as part of the great Russian people was carried through the entire book.Key words
