THE RED ARMY THROUGH THE PRISM OF POLITICAL SENTIMENTS. BOOK REVIEW: BUSHUYEVA T. S. PUBLIC MOODS IN THE RED ARMY. 1920s — 1934. M. : MPGU Publ., 2020. 444 p.

Abstract

The review article is devoted to the monograph by Tatyana Semyonovna Bushuyeva, which reveals the specifics of public sentiment in the army in the 1920s to 1934. The features of the historical sources introduced into scientific circulation, the significance of the research for the study of both military and socio-political history are analyzed. The author of the review notes that the monograph focuses on the negative moods that formed in the army and the factors influencing it. At the same time, it is shown that for a more complete disclosure of public sentiments, a deeper analysis of documents is necessary, taking into account the traditional mental attitudes of Russian society.
