FORMATION OF THE COMPETENCE OF TEACHERS IN THE FIELD OF SPIRITUAL AND MORAL EDUCATION OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

Abstract

The article deals with the relevant problem of training preschool teachers for the implementation of the tasks with spiritual and moral content. The concept of “spiritual and moral education of children” is analyzed, some approaches to its definition are considered. It is shown that the quality and effectiveness of the spiritual and moral education of children directly depends on the level of moral development of the teacher, his culture and professional competence. Based on the analysis of scientific sources, the concept of a teacher’s competence in the field of spiritual and moral education of children is defined, its components are emphasized. The results of the study conducted by the authors, aimed at the formation of the spiritual and moral competence of a preschool teacher, are presented. A step-by-step system of work on the formation of the specified competence of teachers has been developed and tested, including a set of methodological measures built in an interactive learning format. Based on the results of the experimental study, a conclusion was made about the effectiveness of phased methodological work on the formation of teachers’ competence in matters of spiritual and moral education.
