STUDY OF EMBRYOS OF Delphinium triste Fisch. AND Delphinium grandiflorum L. ex situ
Abstract
The article provides a detailed description of the embryos in mature seeds of Delphinium triste Fisch. and Delphinium grandiflorum L., including the stages of embryo development. The seeds with anomalies of endosperm development were identified. The percentage of each stage of embryo development in the seed samples is determined. The embryo development anomalies were revealed: fused cotyledons and the appearance of a third cotyledon. The predominant embryo development stages for each species were established. The data obtained can be used to determine the seed quality and to estimate the prospects of growing D. triste and D. grandiflorum in the continental climate of Western Siberia.
