Introducing film adaptations into the learning process: analysis of methodological techniques of teaching materials on literature for 5th grade

Abstract
The article analyses teaching materials (learning kits) on literature for the 5th grade by A. N. Arkhangelsky and T. Y. Smirnova, G. S. Merkin, I. N. Sukhikh, V. F. Chertov, and also a textbook for teachers “Literature lessons in the 5th grade” by N. V. Belyaeva to the learning kit edited by V. Ya. Korovina. The article gives an assessment of ways to integrate film adaptation into the educational process in order to enhance the reading activity of younger adolescents. In the process of analysis, it was found that the authors of the presented teaching materials consider a literature lesson in the space of modern communication, therefore, they model the educational environment of the textbook as a motivational environment that allows expanding the reading circle of fifth-graders by means of screen culture. The methodological potential of educational tasks is revealed, which contributes to the establishment of cognitive and emotional contact between the reader-student and a work of art with the help of film adaptations. Conclusions are formulated that reflect the approaches of the authors of the teaching materials to the involvement of fifth-graders in a dialogue with a work of art and its media interpretation.
