Patriotic Craftsmen and Handworkers Association of Ufa Railway Workshops during the Russian revolution of 1905—1907: theory and reality

Abstract
This article reviews the activities of the Patriotic Craftsmen and Handworkers Association of Ufa Railway Workshops, one of the largest monarchist right-wing communities in Ufa Governorate of the early 1900s. The study examines the major ideological aspects of the Patriots’ Charter and provides their political evaluation. The research explores the workers’ motivation to take part in this association. The paper describes the relations between the management of the Samara-Zlatoust Railway and the Patriotic Association members. The article reconstructs the events that took place in Ufa Railway Workshops during the Russian Revolution of 1905—1907.
