В статье систематизированы и проанализированы дневниковые записи почетного гражданина города Оренбурга, ученого и общественного деятеля Леонида Наумовича Большакова, касающиеся его восприятия эпохи 1990-х гг., характеризующейся изменениями всех сторон повседневной жизни гражданина России. Показаны взгляды Л. Н. Большакова на «лихие девяностые», зафиксировано его эмоциональное восприятие изменений, происходивших в сферах культуры и образования, в материальном уровне жизни оренбуржцев, в национальной политике и геополитическом пространстве. Все эти срезы эмоционального переживания эпохи «лихих девяностых», на наш взгляд, были типичны для простого советского интеллигентного человека, что стало одним из важных факторов бессилия гражданского общества в нарождающейся в 1990-е гг. «новой России».

The article systematizes and analyzes the diary entries of the honorary citizen of the city of Orenburg, scientist and public figure L. N. Bolshakov, concerning his perception of the era of the 1990s, characterized by changes in all aspects of the daily life of a Russian citizen. The views of L. N. Bolshakov on the “dashing nineties” are shown, his emotional perception of the changes that took place in the spheres of culture and education, in the material standard of living of Orenburg residents, in national politics and geopolitical space is recorded. All these sections of the emotional experience of the era of the “dashing nineties”, in our opinion, were typical for a simple Soviet intelligent person, which became one of the important factors in the impotence of civil society in the emerging in the 1990s “new Russia”.
