В статье анализируется книга Александра Ивановича Репинецкого, посвященная одной из наиболее значимых страниц в истории города Самары (в 1936—1991 гг. — Куйбышев), когда он стал временной военной столицей Советского Союза в 1941—1943 гг. в связи с эвакуацией высших органов государственного управления, дипломатического корпуса, важнейших наркоматов и стратегических предприятий, обеспечивавших обороноспособность страны, а также многих учреждений культуры и художественной элиты. Автору удалось показать, что именно отсюда происходило оперативное управление тылом, военно-промышленным комплексом, готовились важнейшие документы, определявшие внешнюю политику СССР.

The article analyzes the book of Aleksandr Repinitsky, dedicated to one of the most significant pages in the history of the Samara city (in 1936—1991 the city was called Kuibyshev), when it became the temporary military capital of the Soviet Union in 1941—1943 in connection with the evacuation of the highest bodies of state administration, the diplomatic corps, the most important people’s commissariats and strategic enterprises that ensured the country’s defense, as well as many cultural institutions and the artistic elite. The author managed to show that it was from here that the operational management of the rear, the military-industrial complex took place, the most important documents that determined the foreign policy of the USSR were prepared.
