FAMILY ROUTINE OF ORTHODOX ORENBURG MERCHANTS ACCORDING TO THE PARISH REGISTERS OF THE ORENBURG CHURCH OF INTERCESSION (1870—1884)
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of sociographic characteristics of a merchant family in Orenburg in the second half of the XIX century, based on the study of parish registers. They include such aspects as the social state of spouses and godparents of merchants; the age difference between spouses and the age for getting married; life expectancy of the representatives of the merchant class. The results may be useful for comparative analysis of daily life of merchant families in various regions of Russia in the post-reform period.
