Parental Education Model Based on the Pedagogical Views of N. I. Pirogov

Abstract
The article analyses N. I. Pirogov’s pedagogical legacy in the aspect of developing a child’s personality within the family and its influence on the modern model of parenting. It reveals the main ideas of N. I. Pirogov, reflecting the priority of spiritual and moral values, respect for the personality of a child and the need for harmonious interaction between family and society in the educational process. Based on historical and pedagogical analysis and pedagogical modeling, a conceptual model of parenting has been developed, including hierarchical, emotive, cognitive, axiological and activity-based components. Key principles; methods and means of education have been identified, as well as the role of fathers and mothers as equal actors in the educational process. The study utilized methods of generalization and systematization of relevant literary sources. It has been established that the ideas of N. I. Pirogov contribute to strengthening traditional Russian spiritual and moral values and can serve as a methodological basis for modernizing the parenting system in the 21st century. The obtained results have theoretical and practical significance for modern pedagogics, and can also be used in educational and awareness-raising programs aimed at supporting families and raising children.
