THE ACTIVITY OF MUSEUMS IN THE OMSK REGION IN THE RECOVERY PERIOD AFTER THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR
Abstract
The article is devoted to the restoration of museums in the Omsk region after the Great Patriotic War. In this period of time, museums returned to the premises occupied earlier for military needs, the inventory of museum funds was made, and new expositions were created. The main attention of museums was focused on assistance in solving economic, educational and fostering problems, so the emphasis in work was placed on mass, cultural, educational and exhibition work. As a result, this led to a rather weak level of development of research and stock work. Despite the shortage of qualified personnel, the tasks were solved. The attempts to expand the museum network were not always successful, so this process was rather slow.
