ON THE EXPERIENCE OF SCIENTIFIC SUBSTANTIATION OF LAND PLANNING BY THE KAZAKH POPULATION IN THE 1920

Abstract

The article analyzes the Soviet agrarian policy and the attempts to give scientific justification of the Kazakh economy modernization during the “Orenburg” period (1920—1925), made by scientists and officials in practice and in press. Pressing historiographic issues are analyzed. A number of bibliographic sources published in Orenburg in the 1920-s is introduced for scientific use. Special attention is paid to individual bibliography, their contribution to the development of the problem of land management and further destinies. The article is written at the confluence of national history, history of Kazakhstan and study of local lore.
