THEATRES OF THE PENZA REGION DURING GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR
Abstract
The article dwells on the activity of theatres of the Penza region in military conditions of 1941—1945 and gives a short historiographic review on the research subject. It characterizes work of theatre companies and measures of local Soviet and Party institutions to change their work: updating the repertoire with orientation to wartime, training professional staff, supervising financial tasks, strengthening the material and technical resources of theatres, active fund raising for military needs.
