THE CELEBRATION OF THE CENTENARY IN THE MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR AS AN ELEMENT OF FORMATION OF CORPORATE CULTURE OF THE STATE INSTITUTION AT THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the insufficiently studied aspect of the Ministry of the Interior activity in the early twentieth century. The author examines the planning, organization and holding of the celebration of the centenary of the Ministry within the context of event marketing. Competent conduct of special events is one of the important factors in the formation of a positive public opinion about an organization or institution. The documents stored in the Russian state historical archive and the periodical press of St. Petersburg for 1902—1903 served as the source base of this study. As a result of the analysis of archival materials and publications in the media, the author concludes that the celebration of the anniversary of the Ministry of the Interior showed a low level of organization and control in its activities. The mistakes made at the stage of event planning and preparation were aggravated by the lack of evaluating the effectiveness of the event as an important stage in holding a special event and organizing public relations work in general.
